A small slip
Here we are, on the verge of a new lockdown. The months spent locked in the house seemed like a distant bad memory. And instead we anxiously await the new decrees to understand what will become of us in the next coming months. But I don’t want to get caught up in despair. Sooner or later this period will end and the virus will finally be defeated. At that point I want to be ready to take the next vacation and do it properly!
In these months, when we will probably have to change our habits at the expense of sociality in particular, we have the opportunity to save money and to invest our savings in a remarkable vacation. Well, certainly a meagre consolation compared to the tense period that awaits us, but trying to look for a positive side is definitely a way to not get caught up in discoragment.
At the moment traveling seems to be an impossible thing. Looking back at our photos of past travels (if you want to write down the data of your travel advice to read here) is only one way to delude yourself that you are traveling. So why not also do some research on our future travels? In this regard, once we get out of this dark period, we could even almost think about rewarding ourselves with a luxury trip. For once, we could also make a small slip with an all-inclusive type of trip, where the only thing we should do is to take ourselves to the place we’ve planned.
But what are the likely options for a post-covid luxury trip? Surely our perception of the world has changed, so has the way we travel. So let’s go and see what might be the likely changes in luxury travel.
Luxury travels: possible changes
In 2020 our habits have changed. The pandemic has made us even more aware of the fact that our well-being, physical and mental, is a fundamental thing. No one know how things will evolve in the coming months, nor what will happen to the world of travel. The only feasible thing is to try to identify possible scenarios.
Among the options to keep an eye on is certainly the travel close to home. This will certainly be one of the ideas that can make people who decide not to waste time organizing trips to places far from home, not to risk quarantine or various restrictions.
Our well-being will be another aspect that will probably have a huge impact in the choice of travel.
Luxury travel could then be done close to home by opting for hotels in nearby regions and provinces. There are many luxury activities to do close to home as well. Even just deciding to go away for a weekend at a spa is part of this type of travel.
Our well-being will be another aspect that will probably have a huge impact on the choice of travel, especially for luxury travel. All-inclusive packages in places where you can dedicate yourself to your wellness will certainly be a great option. There will be various types, both for those who want to enjoy a regenerating relaxing vacation and for those who want to stay in shape with sports activities.
Detoxification from the digital world
This year, it has provided difficult in all its aspects. It has led us to stay constantly on our cell phones, computers or TV, waiting to hear new developments on the global pandemic situation. We are so immersed in the telematic world that we can no longer detach ourselves. We are morbidly hungry for news and can’t help but look for it all the time.
For this reason, a likely option for a post-covid trip could be to do a detoxification from the digital world. A weekend, a few days, a week or even more time without electronic devices. Immersed in the real world, with no possibility of connection to the digital world.
Given our attachment to the digital world in recent months, this could really be a good way to recharge your batteries and get back to being more self-aware. The search for an inner balance, an inner peace long searched for a not found, could be cues to pursue during a future trip.
We are so immersed in the telematic world that we can no longer detach ourselves
To this search for general well-being, external and internal, will probably be added a greater attention to cleanliness and hygiene. With luxury travel this was already a basic requirement, but now the overall levels have risen even higher.
Never before has so much emphasis been placed on hygiene and cleanliness as this year. Surely this is something we will take in for a long time and try to keep as much as possible. The security of being in a safe, virus-proof place will be the order of the day and so even for travel will be privileged those places that can guarantee this hygiene requirement.
In short, the prerequisites for a luxury trip are not so unreachable and so far from the concept of sustainability. Then let’s face it, this period is putting us to the test. We can allow ourselves to a little slip in the philosophy of traveling in a responsible way, but only this time!
